Mandarin Media, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam PR Specialist (Aug. 2007-Present) Wrote press releases in a specifically tailored news format, consistent with standards promulgated by the AP, so as to ensure cut-and-paste play for clients in news and magazine pages worldwide. Identified, developed and organized press trips with airlines, journalists and client properties; chaperoned the most important visits. Generated publicity for clients by crafting and distributing compelling story pitches to writers and editors, who then turned the angles into full-blown features. Used profound knowledge of media industry to boost client profile, attract new clients and increase company profits. Oversaw some of Mandarin Media's most significant accounts, including the World Golf Tour, HSBC bank and The Gannon Group (Budweiser, Budget Car Rental, etc.), one of Vietnam's largest foreign-invested firms.

Created much of the publications' content, from feature-length destination stories to concise product reviews. Developed and executed strategy to carry out company's biggest projects, such as LG&T's "Top 25 Private Golf Communities."
Three Palms International, Park City, UT Copywriter & Project Manager (April 2006-Feb. 2007) Oversaw the production of brochures, banners, websites and print ads for marketing agency's Central American-based clients. Devised navigation outline and created content for all websites, including diamantelife.com and thekinlochclub.com. Storyboarded Orquidea del Mar's brochure, Three Palms' most time intensive and creative piece of collateral.

Wrote compelling features, managed editorial staff, and served as primary consultant for designers on section layouts. Devised edit calendars and managed planning and updating of PLAYER website.
Xbox.com, Redmond, WA (Contracts via ArtSource) Producer (July 2003-Sept. 2003, Nov. 2003-Jan. 2004) Employed organizational and analytical drive to make sure projects got delivered on time. Utilized understanding of best site layout and navigation practices to improve consistency and usability of Xbox.com. Used intimate working knowledge of Internet publishing tools to help re-launch latest version of site on extremely short deadline. Coordinated with program managers, designers and editors in implementing new content-migration and page-building strategies.
MSN.com, Redmond, WA (Contract via ArtSource) Producer, Sports Channel (Dec. 2001-Dec. 2002) Combined smart headline-writing skills and market-research talents to drive traffic numbers up from a variety of placements. Launched and produced bi-monthly sports newsletter for registered Hotmail customers. Superior editorial judgment and strong calls to action led to higher click-through rate with each delivery. Successfully built and maintained all of MSN.com's 2002 Sports Specials, one-page portals aimed at promoting MSN services. Used investigative skills to put together insightful programming reports for primary content providers, such as ESPN.com.
NFL.com, Seattle, WA Editor (Aug. 1997-Oct. 2000) Oversaw site's West Coast operation beginning in November '99. Excelled in expanded role by successfully supervising 8 staff members while continuing to invent fresh content ideas. Maintained NFL.com's Web presence by creating and distributing weekly editorial programming schedule. Arranged for weekly interviews with players and coaches by building strong relationships with their agents and/or club reps. Garnered respect of league officials through ability to consistently find ways to improve the service. Teamed daily with ad reps, producers, designers and engineers to formulate integration methods for new applications. Helped coordinate several of the site's largest projects, such as Superbowl.com and DraftTracker. Earned majority of game-day writing assignments due to excellent journalistic aptitude. Enhanced NFL.com's credibility by regularly copyediting team index pages and wire stories.
ESPN.com, Seattle, WA Editorial Intern (June 1996-Aug. 1997) Acquired extensive HTML and Photoshop skills. Gained considerable experience in production and design aspects by supporting developers on mixture of projects. Enabled the site to capture and stream exclusive live audio and video events by mastering the company's multimedia equipment.
